ARE - pronoun. Possessive case of we used as a predicate adjective.

AYER - noun. A colorless, odorless gas (unless you are in LA). Usage: "He cain't breathe ... give 'im some ayer!"

BARD - verb. Past tense of the infinitive "to borrow." Usage: "Mah brother bard my pickup truck."

BAWS - noun. A supervisor. Usage: "If yew don't quit readin' these suthun words an' git back to work, your baws is gonna far yew!"

BOB WAR - noun. A sharp, twisted cable. Usage: "Boy, stay away from that bob war fence."

DAYUD - adjective. Not alive. Usage: "He's dayud, Jim."

EAR - noun. A colorless, odorless gas (unless you are in LA). Usage: "He cain't breathe ... give 'im some ear!"

FAHR - noun. A conflagration. Usage: "If mah brother from Jawjuh don't change the awl in mah pickup truck, that things gonna catch fahr."

FARN - adjective. Not local. Usage: "Ah cuddin’ unnerstand a wurd he sayud ... mus’ be from some farn country."

GUMMIT - Noun. A bureaucratic institution. Usage: "Them gummit boys shore are ignert."

HAZE - a contraction. Usage: "Is Bubba smart?" "Naw ... haze ignert."

HEIDI - noun. Greeting. Usage: "Heidi neighbor, whuz gone on?"

HIRE YEW - Complete sentence inquiring as to the well-being of another. Remainder of greeting. Usage: "Heidi. Hire yew."

JAWJUH - noun. A state just north of Florida. Capital is Hot-lanta. Usage: "Mah brother from Jawjuh bard mah pickup truck."

JEW HERE - Noun and verb contraction. "Did you hear" Usage: "Jew here that mah brother from Jawjuh got a job with that bob war fence cump'ny?"

MUNTS - noun. A calendar division. Usage: "Mah brother from Jawjuh bard my pickup truck, and Ah ain't herd from him in munts."

RAHTS - noun. Entitled power or privilege. Usage: "We Suthuners are willin' to faht for are rahts."

RETARD - Verb. To stop working. Usage: "Mah grampaw retard at age 65."

SEED - verb, past tense of to see. Usage: "Ah seed what heed done"

TAHR - noun. A tall monument. Usage: "Lord willin' and the creek don't rise, Ah sure do hope to see that Eyeful Tahr in Paris sometime."

TARRED - adverb. Exhausted. Usage: "Ah just flew in from Hot-lanta, an’ boy mah arms are tarred."
